Our delivery drivers depend
upon your tips to help pay their living expenses, including the
increasingly costly operation and maintenance of their vehicles on
tough New England roads.
The price a delivery driver charges at your door includes the
store delivery charge but DOES NOT include a tip for the
driver. If
you are pleased with our service, we ask that you consider giving a
voluntary tip that is approximately 15% of your order. If you
are paying by credit card and have no pocket change available, the best
(and least expensive) way is to add the tip when you call in your
order. Otherwise, you may add a tip amount on the credit card slip that
the driver presents for your signature.
As for prices, keep in mind that the listed price of a
prepared food item does not include the Massachusetts meals tax of
6.25%. Delivery prices for tobacco and alcohol products are
slightly higher than the in-store price. (See the explanation on the main page.)
Also, when you order an in-store pickup from our deli, please show your
appreciation for our kitchen help by contributing to their tip cups.
100 percent of the tip money given to a kitchen employee or delivery
driver is kept by the individual unless you specify otherwise.
